Everytime I think of Battlefield: Bad Company, that song comes into my head. It’s like a sickness I tell ya. But enough of that, let’s get onto what this whole post is about, the game. Truth be told, when I first saw this game, I thought, “Hey, another FPS military game where you shoot things…..woohoo and hooray”. Just a week ago I saw some of the commercials for the game and was not impressed…
So my good friend Erik tells me I should try it out. I was cautiously doubtful, but I downloaded the demo anyway. I figured why not, if it does suck, I could use a good laugh.
And I did laugh, but not an elitist chuckle mocking the game, but laughs of joy and elation. The game was actually good and fun? It looked, played, and sounded amazing. That’s not supposed to happen. It’s supposed to suck and not play well and be glitchy and, and…….be…..poopy!
And don’t even get me started on the online portion of the game. It’s class based combat at its’ finest. Add to that the ability to control a wide range of vehicles and weapons. With a well rounded team, there’s some killin’ to be had. I’ll probably do a full review on the game down the road, but there are plenty of other media outlets, such as www.gametrailers.com, that have a full and spot on review of the game. It’s not perfect by any means, but it’s one of the better FPS out on the PS3 or 360.
Baaadd Company, till the day I diiieeeeaaa!
