Metal Gear Sadness
Video games are a lot like a never ending war. As a soldier, you go through all sorts of emotions and experiences everyday, and anyone who is in this “war” alongside you is a comrade. Part of gaming, in my opinion, is this integral community of gaming war stories. As many of you know, Erik (co-creator of Substance TV) has been a long time friend of mine. Since the dawn of time, a.k.a. 8 years ago, we’ve played all sorts of great games from A-Z. As promised, the games for review in Substance TV episode 7 are revealed. Yea, I know, there’s a picture that shows them all up there anyway, but here’s a list for kicks and giggles (in order of review even!).

Mega Turrican – Sega Genesis

Strider 2 – Sony Playstation

Power Stone – Sega Dreamcast
Thanks for all the suggestions so far, and I’ll be keeping many of them in mind for future episodes. As posted before, episode 7 will be out on October 1st, 2008. While I could wax eloquently, I think I’ll get back to work on episode 7.
P.S. – Thanks again to all the fans of Substance TV for all your support! You folks rock this world upon which I stand.

Own the Viper!
Over the years, some of you have said, “Brian, we love the games you review, but we can never find them, and even if we do, they are insanley expensive”. Yes my child, I have heard your cries, and now I answer those hunger pains. Suckle on the sweet nurturing teet of Gradius 5.
As announced in episode six of ‘Substance TV’, I will be giving away a complete copy of the game, including shipping, for free. What do you have to do, it’s simple. Just register her at www.substance-tv.com and you will be automatically entered into the contest. You’ll see the link at the top left of the website on the sidebar. There’s no gimmicks or hooks. You won’t be on some Russian goat porn e-mail list, unless you’d like to be. Just a good old fashioned contest.
I’ll announce a winner in episode seven. If you’re already registered for the site, well, then you are already good to go. Thanks for all your support and look forward to episode seven in the weeks to come.
