Another episode means another lineup of games. Now for the faithful and diligent viewers who watched all the way till the end of episode 7, you got a little bite sized Metal Gear treat wrapped in gooey gaming innuendo. Three small clues about each game were given. Some of you figured it out, while others were left scratching their heads. The three clues given by our friend Ocelot were:

“A flying kid who shoots lazer beams”
“A winged girl with a crystal spear”
“A boy who battles evil with the help of a bird”

As cryptic as some of those clues were, a few of you guessed correct. Want to see if you were right? Then click on!

Yes indeed, we like giving coverage to some lesser known games that have been sadly looked over. Plus, as you said, it gives folks a chance to check out some gaming gems they otherwise would not have played. We do what we can because we love too much.

Agreed. The art direction is one of it’s strong points.

Anyways, I’m looking forward Episode 8 to know your point of view on Odin Sphere and to know about Astal. And that’s what I like Substance-TV, showing overlooked and great titles to the masses. In fact, I got to play Shinobi (PS2), Gunstar Super Heroes and Shinobi 3 thanks to Substance and the retrospective video. I know I won’t be disappointed with the next episode.

Yea, I’ve heard a bit about Muramasa. Saw a few videos and it looks interesting. The art style looks stunning. Here’s hoping it is as good as Odin Sphere.

The only one I guessed was the one made by the good guys at Treasure. For the other titles, I haven’t played any of those. I’ve watched a few videos and heard good things about Odin Sphere, but nothing about Astal.

A bit off-topic, but have you heard of Muramasa: The Demon Blade? It’s being developed by the ones responsible for Odin Sphere and, by the looks of it, it’s shaping up to be great.
