Anarchy Reigns Demo hits Japan May 31st [UPDATE: Out Now!]

Last week I took at look at the Japanese launch trailer for Anarchy Reigns (Max Anarchy to our Eastern friends). The trailer itself got me pumped for the game. Oh but gaming can be a cruel ball breaking mistress as Platinum Games announced Anarchy Reigns has been delayed for both North American and Europe. Even worse the release date is now to be determined leaving fans hanging.

So to make the wait just a little less painful, it’s only fitting Platinum Games will release a demo of Anarchy Reigns in Japan on both Xbox and PS3 May 31. It will include a playable story segment, and two types of online play. The update should go live late Wednesday here in America.

Now I know you’re saying to yourself, “How do I download this fine awesome new demo?”. Well, it will take a bit more work to procure. Though it will be available on both Xbox 360 and PS3, the PS3 is the easier version to get for us in the States. With a little effort, you can easily sign up for a Japanese PSN account. It’s free and simple to do. For those unfamiliar with how to accomplish this, follow this tutorial.

After that, it’s pretty simple. Log into your Japanese PSN account, go into the Playstation Store, and you’ll notice the store is setup very much like the U.S. one. Go to the search bar located in the upper right corner and search for “Max Anarchy”.

I’m looking forward to giving this game a test spin both online and offline. If this game turns out to be just as glorious as Platinum’s other releases, I may not be able to wait until Sega brings it Stateside and be forced to import it.
