We start with the rumors flying around about the successor to the Xbox 360. Will it use Blu Rays, will it have some sort of measures in place restricting gamers from playing used games on the console, and will it actually use a stupid name like Xbox 720? Then in our main topic we address ludology vs. narratology. Does story or interactivity take precedence or does it truly depend on the game? Watch as Brian and Landon duke it out in this extra long episode!

Now here’s where we need your help. If you’ve got an iTunes account, show us a little love by subscribing, rating, and commenting. Because when it all comes down to it, we’re a bunch of egotistical self loathing individuals who only find worth in the praise of others. So enjoy and share the love of Boomzies unto the ends of the internet!
P.S. A big thanks to Coldguy from That Guy With The Glasses and Norm from The Gaming Historian for their help. I couldn’t have gotten this podcast working without them!
Boomzies #22 – Thanksgaming Megacast!
It’s Black Friday the most deadly time of the year. Brian and Landon share our deals, steals, and tears from the busiest shopping day. And since it’s Thanksgiving weekend, what more appropriate subject than the video games we are thankful for. We look at those games that changed the industry, personal favorites, and influenced future generations of interactive entertainment.
Plus watch as our phone glitches and fails us miserably live on cast.
Level 20-Something Makes Me Hot
So what would happen if Monsters Inc. made hot sweet lovin’ with Tron? Well besides the awkward love scene between Mike Wazowski and Master Control, you’d get something very close to one of my new favorite web series ‘Level 20-Something’!
The series is about two guys who work at a place called the “Animosity Agency”. They spend their nine to five as the CPU. They are the characters who play against or with the human controlled players. It’s a downright dirty job with lots of pain and little pay. Along the way they meet up with a fiery bartender and get thrown into many of your favorite games in pixel form.
I found these guys through well, uhhhhhh honestly just screwing around on the web searching for new videos. But this is when screwing around on the web pays off. Though I was surprised to see how few subscribers these fine lads had. It’s funny, well produced, and doesn’t suck. So I’ve done my part and subbed and ask, nay demand you subscribe to them as well! Here’s the first episode for your viewing pleasure.
