Enough with all the zombie games!

Posted by Brian On August - 30 - 2011

They just keep coming

Fads are just a fact of life. An undeniable cliche we as humans are so easily susceptible to. The dictionary defines a fad as:

“A temporary fashion, notion, manner of conduct, etc., esp. one followed enthusiastically by a group.”

In the context of video games, zombies are the super ultra mega Jersey Shore OMG like totally rad fad of the day. In my last article I talked about a game that’s on the receiving end of a lot of hype, Dead Island. A zombie themed co-op FPS. One of the big draws for the game is the inclusion of zombies. The more I thought about it, the more I realized we have been bombarded with zombie themed games. The list of games containing zombies in the last few years is staggering.

Is Superman Recycling?

Posted by Landon On August - 23 - 2011

As many of you might know production of the new Zack Snyder Superman reboot Man of Steel has already begun. The new film stars Henry Cavill as Superman and from the image above, he has ditched the classic hair style of the past. This past week the plot synopsis has leaked to the public. Some of you might find it a bit familiar, for better or worse. Here’s a hint, most feel for worse.

See the full synopsis and our breakdown of the new photo after the jump.

The Star Wars prequels really do suck

Posted by Brian On January - 4 - 2011

Star Wars Sucks

I could articulate why I hate the Star Wars prequels so. Possibly with a well thought out dissertation filled with exhaustive research and facts. I could even make references to the original Star Wars films and present an air tight case for why I think the Star Wars prequels suck. Though that would take a lot of work, time, devotion, and madness. Thankfully Red Letter Media has taken the time to properly do such a thing. From Episode 1 to Episode 3, they rip the prequels to shreds while being consistently funny, biting, witty, and entertaining.

I will admit some of these reviews are long, with the review of Revenge of the Sith being a three parter, but trust me, it’s worth it. Seeing your every complaint so perfectly stated, and other issues addressed you never considered is quite invigorating. So enjoy, and may the schwartz be with you.

BTW: Stick around the site if you want to check out thier other reviews of the Star Trek: The Next Generation films and other entertaining videos. They’ll also give you pizza rolls.

This goes without saying, but I’ll say it anyway. These videos are probably NSFW with some language.

New Back to the Future game in flux?

Posted by Brian On September - 10 - 2010

This is heavy Doc

Mention Back to the Future in my presence, and you’ll see a grown adult turn into a huge pre-pubescent geek. In fact, Back to the Future is probably my favorite movie series of all time. So it was bittersweet when I heard about the development of a new Back to the Future game. Sweet because it’s a new Back to the Future game, and bitter because the developer is Telltale Games.

How could this be a bad thing? Simple… Read the rest of this epic article! »
