With Star Wars The Old Republic beginning beta testing, there’s a lot of buzz surrounding the release of this game. Will WoW retain its’ throne or will Star Wars usurp the the reigning MMORPG king?

Daytona USA coming to XBLA?

GAME OVER YEAAAA

One of my favorite arcade racers of all time is coming to the Xbox LIVE arcade. Well that is if you believe the Australian Classification Database rating system. No specific date or system has been slated for the release, but we’ve got a hunch it will be coming to Xbox LIVE arcade. Especially in light of all the games Sega has put out on XBLA these past few months. Can you say 8 player online multiplayer? Yes please!

Tell us what Sega games you would like to see come out for digital download.

Nintendo 3DS a failure?

Posted by Brian On September - 30 - 2010

Yes it does

At this year’s E3, Nintendo stole the show. The crown jewel being the Nintendo 3DS. A new technology allowing the user to experience 3D without the use of glasses on a portable system! Not to mention the laundry list of big name titles slated for the system. As the weeks went by, my anticipation grew. Each tid bit of information more exciting than the last.

But today came a revelation that effectively crippled the system. It wasn’t the games, hardware, or interface. It was the price point. The system will debut early next year for $300. Three hundred dollars?! That’s a lot of coin (three 1-ups to be exact). So why all the fuss? I’m glad you asked… Read the rest of this epic article! »

Killer Instinct 3 coming soon!

Posted by Brian On April - 1 - 2010

The trilogy is complete

Just this week, Rare made it quite apparent they were not interested in reviving or revisiting old franchises (source: kotaku). In an odd turn of events, Rare seems to be backtracking. Sources close to both Microsoft and Rare say a new Killer Instinct game is in the works.

Details are scarce, but we do know the graphics engine will no longer use pre-rendered models. All graphics will be rendered in real time 3-D, a first for the Killer Instinct series. It’s also assumed this will be exclusive to the Xbox 360. The only other piece of corroborating evidence is a memo sent to all Rare staff last month. I can’t tell you how this got into our hands, but it was worth it. While cryptic, it seems to point towards the development of a new Killer Instinct title. Decide for yourself:

Proof of a new Killer Instinct in development!

Wow, just wow. I can’t wait to play this game when it comes out.

Zone of the Enders 3?!

Posted by Brian On April - 23 - 2009

I <3 Kojima

Of course you all know I’m a big fan of anything by Hideo Kojima, as is seen by my mad love for the Metal Gear Solid series. Mr. Kojima also had a hand in the little game franchise known as Zone of the Enders. The first was average, but the sequel is one of my favorite games on the PS2. Now it is being reported that a sequel is rumored to be in the works!

Six years after the release of the last console game in the series, Hideo Kojima is talking Zone of the Enders. Specifically, the Kojima Productions founder (and creator of a little series called Metal Gear) asks if gamers are really interested in a Zone of the Enders 3 during a new episode of MGS4’s in-game “Integral” podcast.

Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner — the, well, second game in the series — was directed by MGS4 co-writer and director, Shuyo Murata, and remains a fan favorite in addition to a critical success; we’re surprised it’s taken Kojima this long to broach the topic of a sequel. In closing out a discussion about the demand for a follow-up, Kojima and his podcasting partners ask gamers to email them if they’d be interested in seeing it happen.

Kojima-san, about your mail server … we’re sorry about its imminent death under the weight of all those emails. Surely you can buy a new one with profits from ZOE 3?

So, what are you waiting for, click, click, click!

E-mail Kojima and tell him you want Zone of the Enders 3!
