Posted by Brian On January - 30 - 2012

Boomzies Issue #28

We start with the rumors flying around about the successor to the Xbox 360. Will it use Blu Rays, will it have some sort of measures in place restricting gamers from playing used games on the console, and will it actually use a stupid name like Xbox 720? Then in our main topic we address ludology vs. narratology. Does story or interactivity take precedence or does it truly depend on the game? Watch as Brian and Landon duke it out in this extra long episode!

Face Palm: Metal Gear Rising Revengeance

Herp a derp

Even before I saw the trailer for Metal Gear Rising Revegance, I was giddy like a little school girl. Platinum Games developing a Metal Gear game in conjunction with Kojima Productions? Yes please! The trailer only solidified what I felt would be the must have game of 2012. The rest of the night, none of the other announcements at the VGAs matter. Just Metal Sweet Mother of Mercy Gear!

So I was honestly surprised when I saw some of the negative comments about the game. I was very tempted to respond to many. Some I did, while others I simply ignored. But I thought why spend my time making one or two comments to random folks on the internet when I can assemble all my thoughts in one big mega epic article. Hence this monstrosity was born!

So with that here are my thoughts on this group of dissenters. Read the rest of this epic article! »
