Bobby Caldwell once sang “What You Won’t Do For Love”. In the case of neo-geo.com forum member NiN^_^NiN, he’d create a custom version of the Neo Geo Pocket game Magical Drop aptly titled “Love Drop”. Seems the lady he wants to ask out is a fan of Magical Drop and owns a Neo Geo Pocket herself (good choice man).

But this isn’t just some hacked ROM played on an emulator. No our friend is going all out. He’s not only creating custom in games graphics, code, and text, but also burning the ROM to an actual Neo Geo Pocket cartridge with a custom sticker. To top it off he’s created a cardboard game case with custom “Love Drop” art. For all intents and purposes it’s a real game.

He’s yet to pop the question, but we’ll keep you updated on the results of this experiment in digital love. Only question is, if she says yes how do you top a custom Neo Geo Pocket game? We’ll find out soon enough. Until then here’s some pics to tide you over.
