Hump Day Cartoons: Life and Death

In an effort to prove that good cartoons are not dead, I have started on a quest to find the best little gems hiding in the cracks of the internet. I plan on presenting my findings in a fun little article called Hump Day Cartoons.

Today I present 2 fun short films that take a humorous look at one of life’s most inevitable and feared event, death. First up is the Legend of Bjorn from some fine students at The Animation Workshop. It follows the story of Bjorn who is look to die in an epic battle in hopes of finally being granted access to Valhalla. Second we have Lady and the Reaper, a Spanish cartoon from Kandor Graphics. This story focuses on a sweet old lady who longs for her husband who passed on some time ago. The story ends with a very funny struggle between modern science and Death himself.

So sit back and enjoy!
