Want the Twilight Zone Pinball In Your House?

Ask any pinball aficionado to list their top ten tables, and more than likely The Twilight Zone will be at the top of that list. As such it’s one of the most coveted and expensive pinball tables on the market today. And year after year fewer machines remain in working condition. So the question becomes, how can you own one of the most expensive pinball tables while preserving it for future generations.

Well the pinball experts at FarSight Studios have the answer. They want to digitize the entire machine and make it available for everyone to play. Though there’s just one problem: licensing. From their KickStart page:

We’ve finally succeeded in negotiating all of the licenses we’d need to digitize the Twilight Zone table and bring it to the Pinball Arcade. Unfortunately when we add up the costs of each required license and calculate what we’d have to charge for the table, we’ve realized that the Twilight Zone is just not commercially viable.

Here’s where you come in! The licenses will cost a daunting $55,000 (and that’s just for the licenses- we’ll cover all of the development expenses ourselves). If we can raise enough money through Kickstarter to cover the cost of the licenses, we’ll be able to digitize the Twilight Zone and preserve one of the greatest pinball tables of all time.

With the funding of this project, it opens up the floodgates for more licensed tables (Star Trek: The Next Generation anyone?). So head on over to their KickStarter page and throw down a few buck to support this epic endevour.
