Zee art of le Strider

Since the last episode covered Strider 2, I thought what more appropriate time to share this little story.

It’s a well known fact that Erik and I enjoy our fair share of video games. But, there’s much more to us then just video games. Well, maybe not much more. Maybe not even a whole lot more, but small bit more.

Ya see, long ago Erik and I met for the first time in a small, cramped, rundown art room. It was our freshman year of college. I’m not sure what art class it was, but it sucked royally. Both of us grew up doodling, drawing, and sketching. Over the years we’ve both done our fair share of it, but we never really collaborated on anything. That is until just a few years ago.

One day Erik showed me this great pencil sketch of Strider. Though it was a nice looking drawing, it was missing color. So I thought to myself why not color it. Sadly my box of 128 Crayola crayons was missing at the time, and instead I went with my backup plan and used Photoshop. After about a week and some tweaking here and there, we produced the final product.
